International Dance

Pei Tong Primary School’s International Dance performing arts group was formed in 2005. We are made up of a group of young talents who love dancing. We dance to learn, keep fit, and strengthen bonds to form a new family. Besides passionate girls, we also have some boys who found their interest in dance. The students discover their strengths and manage their weaknesses through the fun yet serious practices. They learn new dance skills, cooperate with others and learn values which steer them towards success yet never giving up. The instructor choreographs dance routines and movements that best bring out our students’ strengths. The students are committed to give their best on stage.

About our conductor - Miss Vivian Tseng Hsiao
Ms Tseng Hsiao Lan is a driven and motivating senior dance instructor. She is well known among schools as an instructor that puts in a lot of effort to ensure her students excel in their dance routines and works towards perfection. Most importantly, she is able to bond very well with her students and her students are motivated to push their boundaries in dancing. She has more than 5 years in coaching experience and the schools that she coaches have achieved gold medals and distinctions in the Singapore Youth Festivals in Years 2012 and 2014. One of her schools has also been invited by the Prime Minister ,Mr Lee Hsien Loong,  to perform in an Opening Ceremony in 2015.

External Performance

Apart from participating in the bi-annual Singapore Youth Festival, our ensemble actively seeks out opportunities for students to perform, as well as to share the joy with the community.

One such example would be our school’s annual lunar New Year community lunch outreach to the senior citizens in the community.     Last year, our school was 1 out of 12 primary schools, invited to participate in the SG50 Youth Celebrate! 2015. It is organised by MOE as part of a series of activities and projects under the SG50 programme. It will be held at the Singapore Sports Hub, which also marks the opening of the Sports Hub. Our Prime Minister, Mr Lee Hsien Loong, will grace the event as the Guest-of-Honour.
