Overview
The Chinese Department focuses on creating an authentic and engaging learning environment, where students are supported in mastering Chinese and developing confidence in using the language in everyday situations. Through this approach, students enhance their language proficiency, improve communication skills, and gain a deeper appreciation for the language and culture.
Authentic Learning
Authentic Learning allows students to learn Chinese through authentic learning experiences where lessons have different themes or scenarios to provide real-life experiences for students to apply the language skills or knowledge they have learned.

Mother Tongue Fortnight
Mother Tongue Fortnight aims to spark students' interest in learning Mother Tongue languages by immersing them in cultural activities that incorporate language use. Aligned with the Mid-Autumn Festival, students deepen their understanding of the festival while enjoying a range of meaningful cultural activities.

Joy Of Learning
To foster a love for learning Chinese, engaging language games and activities are introduced to students, going beyond the textbook. These initiatives encourage active participation, boosting students’ confidence and enjoyment in using the language.
